| Any official word on water temps? Surely its about 76 by now...I hope. |

| No official word, but unofficially (and I stress this), it was around 75-76ish over the weekend if memory serves me correctly. However, we have some heat again this week so it may come up some (but not much). I'm willing to go out on a limb and say that's it's pretty much a done deal that it's 78 or below on race day. However, that is UNOFFICIAL. Be prepared in case I'm wrong. |

| So I mentioned the water temps to a friend of mine who has done 4 IMs, and he said he wouldn't wear a wetsuit for fear of overheating. I think he's nuts. I have a sleeveless and the air temp will likely be around 70. I would think overheating on the swim would not be a big concern. |

The City has just begun to provide me with the data and it looks like this:
Dates selected by me to abbreviate the listing,
July 1 Air Temp (High) 93 Water Temp: 78.6
July 15 Air Temp (High) 91 Water Temp: 79.5
July 31 79.9 Air Temp (High) 93 Water Temp: 79.9

Should hear from the city on Monday!
The news should be good though, it has rained a bunch and the air temps have been cooler.

Just got off the phone with the city!
Lake Hefner water temp is: 73.6!
Sounds like a chilly one!
