My question revolves around items I will want at T1 and T2... For example, Body Glide... do I need to bring enough to have one in my T1 bag, T2 bag, as well as my special needs bags if I'm overly nervous? Or could I keep ONE at my transition area and than have another one in my special needs bag...? The ONE at my transition area would work for T1 and T2... I plan on using the T1 and T2 bags provided, but basically I'm curious if we're going to be allowed to have anything at our transition area by the bike in case we want to have access to it 1) on raceday morning, 2) T1 and 3) T2... Any guidance would be great. Thank you and looking forward to it! |

Do what makes you most secure on race day. I duplicated everything in my bags that were essential to me. This really wasn't necessary but it was a fullproof plan. Yes you can leave it at your bike. there should be plenty of room.( Some full participants leave everything at their bike corral and don't use the tents). But, you might want to apply it in the changing tents and so it would be better to have it in your bags. You could have one for your T1 bag labeled with your name/race number (on the body glide itself) and have a tent volunteer place it in your T2 bag or it might be safe left out on the table with your name/number on it. There will also be vaseline and some body glide in the changing tents.

Martha....first, thanks alot for everything you do for this race so we can have our day!!! Next, it says under Event Rules that No dressing willl be allowed in the transition area. Sounds like this year we won't be able to lay out our clothes next ot the bike and all have to use the tents....could you please clarify. Thanks. |

Hmmm...we may need to clarify that...yes you can ALWAYS dress at your bike like in any triathlon. The tents are designed for the full participants who may require more changing/privacy. There is a USAT rule for no nudity in transition so...as long as things stay covered..you can avoid the tents if you prefer.
