| Wondering about sunscreen? What everyone does about it and if they put it on before the race and reapply at T1 and T2? Will there be volenteers to apply it at T1 and T2? Will there be lotion or spray on? Any answers to my many questions would be appreciated. Thanks |

iron07,
I'm sure you'll get some reply as to the timing of the application. But thought I'd add a quick note to let you know that we do provide spray-on "sports" sunscreen at every aid station and also in transition. In addition I'm sure the volunteers would be happy to help with the application as well.
Thanks,

Last year, at the August TRI-OKC Meeting (right before the race), I remember several of our club members had raceday suggestions for "strategic applications" of bodyglide and sunscreen. One suggestion which left a definite impression with me: for those wearing a cycling jersey & shorts (vs. a 1-piece skinsuit/tri-suit), be sure to liberally apply sunscreen on your low back, about 1-2 inches above AND below your waistband. One of our club members didn't do that last year and had a severe sunburn where his jersey "rode up" on him. The sunburn left a "smiley face smile" which, from the right angle, also looked like a thong. I'm sure we'll be posting other suggestions from our club membership as we get closer to race day. |

| I've seen that smiley face before. It's quite funny looking. |
