Sorry for my slow reply!
In my discussions with the parks department as part of the permitting process, they assure me that the work will be done in time.
They do seem to be making some good progress!

What work is being done? If the work is not done as assured by the Parks Dept, what affect will it have on the race?

Brian,
We'll probably route the course around the south side of the lake.
I do however, have great confidence that the dam work will be done!
