Does anyone know if you have to be present at the awards ceremony to claim your award if you AG place etc etc? OR will they usually mail it to you if you are unable to attend the next morning?

Do your best to attend! It's a lot of fun and everyone wants to acknlowledge your accomplishments. If you absolutely can't be there, awards can be mailed.

thanks for the answer. Will shoot to be there of course, award or not, but travel and work plans may place me having to leave after the race on Saturday.

Definitely looking forward to the race, have heard nothing but great things about it.

Tigers have a rough road this year, even years are always hard.

Heading up there to do the HIM. Was curious about awards b/c I have a buddy that may come with me and he always seems to place. Just wondering if we had to stick around.

still trying to decide wheter we'll stick around sat night or not. Definitely depends on what time the LSU/Auburn game is that day. Hopefully you'll have a TV out there to catch it as I'm sure you'll be there all day and night for the full IM to finish up.

Plus, our starting QB has almost as many College FB starts as **I** do!!

Both OU and OSU are off that weekend, which explains why there are 6 other races in the state that weekend!! Not sure if we'll have a TV, but I'm sure we can request one. 8-) Right now, LSUSports.net says kickoff time is TBA.

The awards ceremony for all events (Half, Full, and AQB) will be Sunday AM at the Marriott. You'll get your finisher's medal & shirt at the finish line but will have to wait until the next day for the hardware.

Looking forward to seeing you on race weekend!

I like those odds.....03 - Matt Mauck, 07 - Matt Flynn.

not exactly seasoned quarterbacks with huge resumes.....LSU just has to have a QB that doesn't lose the game for them. Just puts the ball in the hands of the playmakers and doesn't give the game away

Lance,

Send me an e-mail at rocksbox [at] gmail [dot] com.

The OKC LSU Alumni Association is having a watch party for the LSU game that evening, and the host family is not too far from a segment of the Redman bike course.

I'll send you all of the relevant info when you send me an e-mail.

Good luck w/ the rest of your taper this week!

Rocky
