Just wanted to express my gratitude to all the race coordinators and volunteers. This was my first 70.3 and I could not have asked for a better experience. The people who wrote jokes on the side walks, the folks who clapped and cheered for hours on end, the traffic directors, massagers, announcers, water hander outers... It would have been impossible without you. The high temps made it a very tough day for me, but the inspiration of the people on the sidelines really kept me going.

I'll be back next year with a better plan, in better shape and ready to experience this great race again.

Thanks,
Greg

I secong Greg's sentiments. The volunteers were absolutely awesome!!!! That was by far and away the best event I have ever participated in. No other event has even come close with the level of QUALITY volunteers.

I can't wait for next year!!!

A HUGE thanks to all the racers. We couldn't have a quality race to put on without quality athletes showing up and trusting us with your well-being. The volunteers ARE amazing, and the race staff is a great group of people! Everyone together makes it the incredible race that it has become. I'm so glad that you all had a wonderful experience, and we all look forward to your return next year!

I was a little tired as the night wore on, but just couldn't leave because I wanted to watch "just one more" athlete cross that finish line and achieve their biggest goals. I had a great race, but even more fun than racing was cheering on the athletes, getting the immense privilege of putting their finisher's medal around their neck (and being the first to congratulate them on being an Ironman), seeing them smile when I knew they were dying of exhaustion, and watching all the pain go away as they hit the red carpet. Just too cool... :)

Tanya,

Greeting from Amararillo TRIATX! Thanks so much for your awesome post on the TriATX site. We had such a blast at ya'lls race! I was SO impressed with all of you and your hospitality, in addition to your amazing volunteers. You guys are phenominal and put on a first rate triathlon! I've picked Redman as my very first Full for next year simply because ya'll put on such an amazing race and I know I will be well taken care of! Can't wait to see all you very soon.

It's truely wonderful to read all these positive comments of appreciation for those who worked so hard behind the scenes to make this event a success. We're all so very proud to be a part of this and it's comments like these that give us our motivation. Thank you all for your input. Please know that we continue to stay focused on the very thing that drives the event. That's you, the athlete. We are all about "The Athlete", their families, friends and fans. This has been our focus in the past and will continue to be our focus in the future. We believe that every athlete deserves our most undivided attention. From the ones who finish first, to those athletes who finish last, all are winners in our eyes and we work hard to make sure they know it!!
With that said we look forward to a bigger and better race in 08' and hope to see everyone again then. And please don't forget to bring your family and friends. We promise to make it a day they too will post in their memory books as a great event!!
God's speed to all of you, Keith...

After reading all of the above, I'm ever so excited that I've signed up for this race for 2008, all the way from Wisconsin! :-) (although, I have family in OK) Thanks for the input and I am expecting a fantastic, and well-organised event!
