I wanted to tell you that I have done a lot of races. I also work for a race organizer myself. This is the best race I have ever been to in my life. There was not a moment in my 140.6 journey that I didn't feel supported. You guys ROCK!

I just wanted to tell you how much I/we enjoyed the Redman. I’ve been an age group member of a few Team USA age groupers and traveled the world to races. I race about 35 times per year across a spectrum of events from cyclocross to duathlon and triathlon. The spirit of REDMAN is incredible. I cannot say enough good things about the Redman Full Distance Race. The volunteers were fantastic. The community support was outstanding. Specifically, I became dehydrated after the race and I was taken care of within a matter of seconds by an outstanding medical team! The venue is great. Everything was organized, easy to understand, and very well run. The volunteers brought me to tears - they were so incredible. The hospitality of the city was warm and welcoming. Everything was wonderful - except for miles 2 through 26.2 on the run. :-)
Your staff and volunteers were amazing at the race! (Redman) was clearly an athlete centered race. From packet pick up to wetsuit strippers, bike course volunteers, aid stations, transition, finish line (everyone was) extremely encouraging, helpful, supportive, friendly, and extremely competent. This was an amazing race, please thank your staff and all your volunteers. -Hung Nguyen

Well I have to say I was really impressed with the entire race.... After completing two m-dot half's this year Redman was by far the best race I've done. The aid stations and volunteers were amazing.... I will not soon forget the girl in the Dallas Cowboys jersey soaked to the bone cheering everyone on by name at the aid station.... I will definitely be putting this on the calendar again for next year. -Tim Custer
At no point during the race did I encounter a volunteer that wasn't cheering me on, or asking me what they could do for me. Anything I needed, they had, and gladly brought it to me. I signed up for this race because of a recommendation. He told me how great the volunteers were and how great the race was. I can honestly say that what he said held true.
This is Deborah Battaglia... female winner for the past 2 years, sending on a small note of thanks for the fabulous experience at your event. Actually I cannot thank you enough for your generosity in hosting me in your town... I so value the small venue irondistance events, and yours is tops. I hadn’t realized that you all do this on a volunteer basis and I assure you that if I lived in your town, I would be so involved in your organization! The spirit of your committee and all the volunteers is infectious. The race was organized impecably well and I would like to especially thank all the volunteers on the bike course for ensuring safety. Whether I win or place last, I hope I can continue to come and enjoy your event. I look forward to next years race. And I promise to keep smiling throughout.

The Redman triathlon is a world-class event, managed by wonderful, caring people who work extremely hard to make it a supportive, beginner-friendly event.
You have the greatest volunteers. I work several races in Shreveport and we have great volunteers, but yours are right up there. All the rest stops were stocked every time I came by. I never had to worry about them not having a variety of foods and drinks. I personally appreciated the two women at the run special needs area... It was a good experience and I am thankful I came. -Michael S. Cook
